Lately. . .

The Yankees have been on somewhat of a winning streak . In there last five games, they have managed to win 3 and lose 2. Which is okay but i think that with better pitching, they could have won all five. The Yank's are still second in the AL East standing behind the Devil Rays. They have there record set at 24-13 and are looking to get that to 26-13 after a two game series against their rival team, the Boston Red socks. If the Yankees play there game, they can send the Red Socks back to Boston crying. Well hopefully anyways.

Series going great

The New York Yankees ended a two game losing streak by defeating the Orioles last night with a score of 8-3. This brings their record to 13-7 and in second place to lead the AL East. The Yankees next meeting is against again Baltimore. The Yankees are trailing Tampa Bay by two games. Hopefully they can get back to the top and bring home a division title. The series belongs to the Yankees with them up by one game. They are looking strong to take the 4th game as well. Well here is the biggest highlight from this series. Hideki Matsui hit a walk off home run to win game 2, 5-3.

Looking for a win

Today the Yankees are going to Baltimore to play the Orioles. In my personal opinion I think that the Yankees should bring home a win in this one. The stats are all pulling for the Yankees but something spectacular could always happen. Just like last week when the Yankees were up 4-0 on the Angels and somehow the Angels came back to win 8-5. Yes, this was perhaps an upset, but with that said anything can happen. Good luck today Yankees!

Yankees win another one

The Yankees went into Los Angeles and played some real baseball. They beat a very good team. Andy Pettitte threw eight sharp innings, Robinson Cano had four hits, and Nick Swisher and and Francisco Cervelli each drove in two runs for the Yankees to help them to a 7-1 victory over the Angels today on Saturday. Luckily, the Yankees slipped through another game for a victory. This game brings their record to 12-5 as of this point. They are ranked first in the AL East division. Everything is going right for the Yankees right now and they are obviously having a great winning season. The Yankees next game is tomorrow, again against the Angels. They will play in Los Angeles at 3:35pm.

This seasons record

The Yankees record as of right now is 11 wins, and 4 losses. They have beaten the Red Socks twice,Devil Rays twice, Angels twice, Texas Rangers three times, and the Oakland A's twice. But, at the same time, they have lost to the Red Socks once, Devil Rays once, Angels, and the A's only once each. They are starting off right and hopefully it only gets better.

New news

In the latest news, Javier Vazquez is still trying to find his groove. He felt much better in his latest start, he pitched a great game against the Oakland A's. That's what the New York Yankees were hoping to finally see from the man they acquired in an off-season trade with Atlanta to be their No. 4 starter. Also during this game, Alex Rodriguez hit a three-run homer to silence the Oakland Crowd. The Yankees topped the A's 7-3 late in the game.

Current Yankees Lineup

The Yankees are coming off a world series win. They have bounced back and are looking for another title. They have almost everyone back. Their starting line-up looks like this:
C=J. Posada; #20.
P=C. Sabathia; #52.

1B=M. Teixeria; #25
2B=R. Cano; #24.
SS= D. Jeter; #2.
3B=A. Rodriguez;#13.

RF=N. Swisher;#33.

CF= C. Granderson; #14.
LF= B. Gardner; #11.

CL(closer)=M. Rivera; #42.

DH(designated hitter)= N. Johnson; #26.
This line-up looks like success to me. I mean last year they won the title without any trouble. I am proud of my team and will always be a Yankee fan.
